How many quarts of oil does a 5.7 hemi take?

The 5.7 Hemi requires 7 quarts of engine oil with the filter, which is 224 ounces or just under two gallons for reference purposes.

Full flow type filters are recommended and should be replaced every time you change your own fluids in order to maintain optimal performance levels from this powerful machine! Conventional API certified conventional 5w-20 viscosity grade oils work best on 5.7 hemi engine vehicles.

Since they offer higher quality standards than most other synthetic varieties available today without any performance deterioration whatsoever; however if extreme conditions like heavy snowfall cause an increase output above 300hp then I recommend using our advanced approval synthetic reciprocating twin timed internals race motor racing 15+1 compression stroke Bartels bridgeman formula SAE rated engine oil.

Viscosity Grade

SAE 5W-20 is recommended for all Ram 1500 trucks, including the 2.5L EcoDiesel engine and 4 cylinder gas models. For heavier vehicles (more than 14000 lbs), SAE 30 motor oil should be used even though this type of gear requires 20 weight.

HOW TO CHANGE OIL IN 5.7 HEMI?

Changing the engine oil in a 5.7 HEMI is a pretty simple process.

Step 1: Be sure you have all of the required tools and safety equipment.

-Jack stands

-17mm socket wrench

-Rags for oil/waste disposal (and other “cleanup” needs)

Step 2: Open the hood, and locate the engine oil dipstick tube. It should be near the front of the engine, on the passenger side.

Step 3: Locate your dipstick tube cover.

Step 4: Remove your dipstick tube cover by turning it counter-clockwise to remove it from its housing.

Step 5: Locate your drain plug, which is right above your oil filter (you should also have already removed your oil filter by now).

Step 6: Use a 17mm socket wrench to loosen and remove your drain plug—make sure you catch any drips of oil with one of your rags!—then let the oil flow into your drain pan until it stops draining on its own.

Step 7: Replace your drain plug, tighten it with your wrench according to the manufacturer’s specifications for torque, then dispose of the old oil appropriately and replace your dipstick tube cover.
